Slot theme and symbols
Chocolate Deluxe is designed around the idea of a luxury chocolate experience, and each piece used on the reels as a symbol looks like it costs an arm and a leg. There is a Chocolatier main character as well, which you see in the scatter symbol. Wilds, as well as 8 regular symbols, will pop up on the reels and will be used in the creation of winning clusters. Half of those are pralines of different types, while the other half look like chocolates that take the form of card suit icons.
Forming a winning combination in this PG Soft game requires that you get at least 5 matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically. The more symbols that are in a cluster, the bigger the win, with the best prizes paid for 35-36 symbols (the entire game area has 36 symbols). You do get help from wilds, and there is a cascading reels mechanic that can bring new symbols for additional wins, so there are ways to get more out of this game. One very useful symbol is the Wild, represented by a W logo, making a splash as it is dropped in liquid chocolate. It can land on all reels, and it will be used only as part of other clusters, not for its own. Itβs a substitute for other symbols, as long as itβs for use in regular clusters. It doesnβt replace scatters.
Symbol Multiplier
Randomly, while playing Chocolate Deluxe, random multipliers ranging from 2x to 100x may be part of one or more regular symbols that land on the reels. The game adds up all multipliers that are on top of winning symbols, and then applies the resulting multiplier to the total prize.
Scatter Symbol
The Chocolatier, a French-looking guy with a moustache, will be the scatter symbol, which you can get anywhere on the reels. There are no rewards associated with this symbol, at least not directly.
Free Spins
If you have at least 3 Chocolatier scatters on the reels, the game will trigger 10 or more free spins. Each new scatter, beyond the minimum of 3, will add 2 additional spins to the total. A big advantage of the free spins feature is that multipliers keep accumulating, without resetting between rounds. It goes only up until the free spins are consumed, at which point they reset. In addition to the total multiplier, the roundβs symbols that carry multipliers will boost prizes as well (the wins of the round are multiplied and paid twice, once by the symbol multiplier and once by the total multiplier accumulated over multiple rounds). Our rating of the game Chocolate Deluxe
There are a couple of things that Chocolate Deluxe got right. The quality of the design and the impression of a luxury chocolate experience are two of them, and if you have a sweet tooth, I think you will appreciate it. I also liked the way its multipliers were implemented, particularly during free spins, and I have no trouble believing that a 5,000x jackpot is possible, while volatility is at a Medium level. The features are not unique to this game, so I wouldnβt go in expecting something new, but theyβre solid. Since volatility feels approachable, I think both beginners and veterans could give this one a chance.
