Slot theme and symbols
The story of The Three Little Pigs goes back to the Middle Ages, and its author is unknown. It tells of three pigs who built their houses of straw, wood, and bricks, so the materials get progressively stronger. The Big Bad Wolf comes to eat the pigs, huffing and puffing to tear their houses down. It succeeds with the first two, but the brick house doesnβt go down. While in the original story, weβve seen the three piggies as victims, here itβs the wolf thatβs scared of them. Itβs a nice change, especially since there are a number of competitors covering this same story. Symbol-wise, we find a total of 12 regular symbols, starting with the fairly typical card suits and continuing with images of tools and building materials, the wolf as it fell into the pot of boiling water, and the three crazy piggies. As its feature symbols, it has the Brick House as a scatter symbol and the Crying Wolf as a wild symbol. The other one is the Piggy Bank wild, which you collect.
You play the slot through a system that gives you a total of 768 ways to win on 5 reels. Itβs the same as with regular paylines, as you have to form combinations from left to right, with 3 or more matching symbols. One particular mechanic thatβs useful revolves around the popular Cascading Reels system. Whenever a combination is formed, the winning symbols are removed as they explode, leaving room for others to drop down in the empty spots. Each round starts with one potential wild symbol, which you can get on the 3rd reel. Itβs the Piggy Bank wild symbol, and if it is present, it will be collected and will activate a modifier for the rest of the round. If additional Piggy Bank wilds are collected that same round, they will unlock additional modifiers:
- Wolf Wild Symbols: New wild symbols, which result from the transformation of regular Wolf symbols. More on these, below.
- Card Suits Removed: For the second wild thatβs collected on the 3rd reel, the game removes the four card suit icons (the ones of smaller value) from the reels. This ensures a higher win on average for winning combinations, plus it makes it more likely that they will form in the first place (youβre playing with 8 regular symbols, instead of 12).
- 10x Multiplier: The third Piggy Bank wild thatβs collected in that same round will unlock a 10x multiplier, which applies to all wins. Once the round ends, these modifiers reset.
Wolf Wild
These are wild symbols that only show up once you’ve collected the Piggy Bank Wild once. For that particular round, all regular Wolf symbols are transformed or land directly as extra wilds. You will be able to use them as substitutes in new combinations, or they can pay directly for their own wins. One more thing thatβs interesting about these extra wilds is that they pay more once they transform than when theyβre in their regular form.
Scatter Symbol
The only other feature symbol in Three Crazy Piggies is the scatter, which features its own logo and an image of a brick house. It can land anywhere on the reels, and its only purpose is to trigger the free spins feature. It doesnβt pay directly.
