Paroli is the opposite of the Martingale system and works on the basis of positive progression. This means that if we win on a spin, we double our original bet. However, if we lose, we return to the original bet value.

In this short example, we can see how easily we can end up in the red, even if we were doing well at first. And that’s just because we only had two wins in a row.
Unlike the Martingale strategy, however, the loss does not grow as quickly when you lose. However, Paroli cannot guarantee you at least some profit when you place a winning bet after a black streak, as it does with the Martingale. Regardless of your budget, you can end up losing money. Is it worth using the Paroli strategy?
It is true that, unlike other strategies, due to maintaining bets during a bad streak, the loss does not accumulate as quickly. If you are lucky, you can also have a series of wins relatively quickly and you will take home a decent sum after a few spins.
However, if the series of losses is at least 2 rounds long, you will not be able to reset your losses with the first possible win. You have to rely on being able to win at least a few times in a row.
For beginners who want to get a feel for the strategies, Paroli is one of the better choices. However, the most important thing is to clearly set how long the series of wins should be, or how much of your bankroll you are willing to lose.

History of the strategy
At present, we cannot say exactly when the Paroli strategy began to be used directly on roulette. However, it is assumed that it has been with it from the very beginning. This system was supposed to be implemented by Blaise Pascal himself, who is also believed to be behind the invention of roulette itself.
However, historians believe that a model similar to the Paroli system was already used for 400 years before Pascal incorporated it into his work.
This strategy is very popular among players not only on roulette and is currently one of the most used.
The principle of the Paroli strategy is the reverse of the Martingale strategy. With Paroli, bets are doubled on every win, but remain the same on a loss. It is only used on even bets, i.e. on colors, high or low 18, and even or odd numbers.
If you are a beginner player, you can definitely try Paroli as your first strategy. It is very easy to understand, you don’t take much risk when playing, and if you are lucky, you can take home nice amounts of money. Which suits both beginners and casual players.
