Slot machine details and review Three Trojan Horses
Three Trojan Horses is one of several Ancient Greek-themed slots you can find at Evoplay casinos. The basis for the slotβs story comes from the mythology of Ancient Greece, and from the stories that tell about the siege of the city of Troy. Evoplay turned this story into a slot machine with 5×3 reels and 20 paylines.
Every slot machine must be developed by a company that invented, designed and put it into operation. Many players eventually find that they only enjoy playing on machines from specific software provider, so they narrow down their selection by preferred brand.
A slot machine with low volatility. Wins occur frequently, but are usually small. The game has a smoother course without large fluctuations, suitable for players who do not like risk and work with a smaller budget. More about volatility here.
Slot theme and symbols
While weβve had plenty of five-reel slot machines that are based on Ancient Greek culture and mythology, the war for Troy and the use of Trojan horses is not quite as easy to get elsewhere. Evoplay gives us one of the few games inspired by it and by the use of the Trojan horse as a deceptive way to conquer the city that couldnβt be taken any other way. Itβs a pretty good design as well, without looking too modern, but it has the expected themed symbols, and they look fine. The unrelated symbols, its Royals, are not going to do much for its design.
Three Trojan Horses theme and symbols
Gameplay-wise, Three Trojan Horses is considered a slot with Low High volatility. I take it as a slot that has low volatility, but on the higher side, so closer to a medium (they have a confusing way to describe volatility, sometimes). The rewards that this slot can pay go up to 2,297.4x the stake, which Iβm fine with. There is also the 96.01% RTP of the game that should be considered, but itβs a typical return for a slot.

WILD symbol
One of the special symbols that you can get in Three Trojan Horses, the wild is represented by the image of one of the Greek heroes, and itβs marked with the featureβs logo. While useful as a substitute when youβre trying to form regular combinations, it doesnβt replace scatters, and it also only lands on reels 2-5.
Scatter symbol
Another very interesting symbol is the scatter, which can land on all reels, and even several times on each one. Its only role is to pay the player when it lands enough times. This type of scatter jackpot was very popular in Games Global slots in particular, in the Epic Strike system. Iβm glad that itβs been adopted by Evoplay as well, since it can deliver wins of 1x to 1,000x the stake when you have 3 to 12+ scatters, and this is true for paid spins as well.
Boosters
Another type of scatter that you can get on the reels will feature a female warrior, in golden form, and as part of either a green, blue, or red coin. Each of these three scatters can appear at any point on the reels, and will be collected by a Trojan Horse head of the same color.
Free Spins
Randomly, when you collect colored scatters to the Trojan Horse heads, you can trigger the free spins feature and the associated booster. There is a minimum of 7 free spins offered. For this feature, you can have 1, 2, or 3 of the following boosters active at the same time:
Extra Gift: you can get scatters with cash prizes from 0.5x to 10x the stake, which pay immediately.
Extra Coins: you can get up to 5 scatter symbols in random positions.
Extra Spins: you can get +1 Spin symbols, and each one adds 1 free spin (maxes out at 25 free spins total for the entire free spins feature).
Bonus Buy
There are two options for you to choose from when it comes to the free spins feature and the boosters that are available. The cheaper option allows you to pay 68x the stake and get the free spins with 1 to 3 random boosters. The other option gives you all 3 boosters, but it costs 199x the stake to use.

Our rating of the game
Three Trojan Horses
Itβs an interesting enough theme to begin with, a nice change for anyone whoβs been looking at the typical Ancient Greek deity slots for way too much time. The use of the Trojan horse in the war for Troy is legendary, and something that every player knows something about. They didnβt deliver a very high-risk slot here, with a higher Low volatility being mentioned, and so the 2,297.4x top jackpot feels adequate. RTP is OK as well, at 96.01%. It can be a good option for players who donβt want to risk much but still get a chance at a decent prize.

How do we rate slot machines?
We evaluate slot machines based on multiple criteria, from which we make our final verdict.
A theme that should be popular, with its inspiration coming from the Trojan War.
Good graphics, with the expected high-value symbols using images of the eraβs soldiers and equipment.
With its volatility, which is on the lower end of the range, itβs something most players can check out.
The Scatter Jackpots can be claimed during paid spins as well, so big wins arenβt just for the main feature.
Comes with a free spins feature that can benefit from 1 to 3 Boosters at the same time.
Has a Bonus Buy option, with both cheaper and more expensive options.
Cons
Half of its regular symbols are made up of basic Royals, which donβt have much to contribute to the design.
Its wild symbol is limited in usefulness, being only used as a replacement and only on four of the five reels.
When it comes to special features, the options youβre given are similar to those from a lot of other modern slots.
