Slot machine details and review Northern Temple Bonus Buy
Northern Temple Bonus Buy is an online slot that you can check out at Evoplay casinos. Itβs a Magic-themed release with roots in Scandinavian mythology, and a slot machine that incorporates some interesting mechanics to go with that backstory. The setup starts off at a regular size, with 5×3 reels and 243 ways to win, but as you play, it can expand and give you as many as 7,776 ways to win, eventually.
Every slot machine must be developed by a company that invented, designed and put it into operation. Many players eventually find that they only enjoy playing on machines from specific software provider, so they narrow down their selection by preferred brand.
A slot machine with low volatility. Wins occur frequently, but are usually small. The game has a smoother course without large fluctuations, suitable for players who do not like risk and work with a smaller budget. More about volatility here.
Slot theme and symbols
You will discover a 5-reel slot machine that gives you a look at the beautiful mountains and lakes of Scandinavia in the background, while in the game area, you will find a variety of creatures in the high symbols, and Royals for the lower positions. There are 10 symbols for you to use in regular combinations, 5 of each type. The scatter symbolβs image is that of Yggdrasil, the tree mentioned in Nordic mythology, while the wild appears to have some runes at the top of the W logo.
Northern Temple Bonus Buy theme and symbols
The experience you can expect in Northern Temple Bonus Buy isnβt a very risky one, at least if we go by the Low volatility thatβs mentioned in its case. Itβs on the higher side of low, apparently, but itβs still a kind of gameplay that most players should be able to check out. This is also a slot that can pay well, up to 6,258x the stake, and it keeps the RTP at 96%. Paid spins can be interesting by themselves, thanks to the use of a drop mechanic that makes winning symbols explode, so that others can take their place. There is an increasing multiplier there as well, going up by 1x after each drop, and then resetting at the end of the spin. Those drops also add new rows of symbols, one at a time, with the maximum possible size being 5×6 reels with 7,776 ways to win.

WILD symbol
The W logo should be easy to spot, so you will know immediately when a wild symbol makes an appearance. Itβs available on reels 2-5, and there it can act as a replacement for other symbols, though not for Coins or Scatters.
Scatter symbol
You can also get scatter symbols in this game, and they feature the Yggdrasil tree in them. A Scatter logo is also there, to make it clear what its role is. You can only get them on the middle three reels.
Free Spins
If all three scatter symbols are present, the game grants you access to the main feature, with its 15 free spins. This is a feature that you can retrigger and get another 15 rounds via the same 3 scatters. An advantage of this feature is that the multiplier doesnβt reset between spins; it just keeps getting bigger and bigger through drops until the free spins are over.
Bonus Buy
This is also the sort of slot machine that allows you to buy access to the main feature. The cost of doing so is 54x the roundβs stake, and in return, the game will trigger 15 free spins for you.

Our rating of the game
Northern Temple Bonus Buy
I like that it makes it fun to play through its paid spins as well, and itβs not all just about the main feature, the way it happens in so many other slots. Here, in Northern Temple Bonus Buy, you can get drops to boost multipliers and expand reels, and if the main feature triggers, then the odds of winning big improve further thanks to increasing multipliers. Itβs a low volatility slot, where you can get paid a good top prize of 6,258x the stake, and where RTP is at 96%. Itβs recommended for most types of players, even those that bet bored easily.

How do we rate slot machines?
We evaluate slot machines based on multiple criteria, from which we make our final verdict.
A 6,258x top jackpot is a pretty good target for any player to aim for, especially when volatility is reduced.
It has low volatility, so it should be the sort of slot that a lot of players would enjoy playing casually.
The RTP is 96%, which means that over a longer time, it will pay that amount back to players, and itβs what youβd expect of a slot.
There is a lot of power behind its drop mechanic, since it results in both increasing multipliers and expanding reels.
A free spins feature where multipliers donβt reset is available, and bigger prizes are more likely here.
You can buy the bonus feature with 15 free spins if you have the budget for it.
Cons
The graphics of Northern Temple Bonus Buy represent various animals, but the connection to Nordic mythology isnβt as clear as in other slots.
Regular combinations donβt pay all that much, so you need several or the help of multipliers to make a profit.
Low hit rate, of 18.62%, so only 1 in about 5-6 spins will pay.
