How to play the Mega Cashword scratch card
- Purchase a scratchcard at one of the retail locations
- The card contains four sections – βYOUR LETTERSβ, βGRID 1β, βGRID 2β and βPRIZE TABLEβ
- You can win up to 2 times on a single scratchcard
- Prize range from Β£5 to a maximum of Β£1,000,000
First of all, scratch off all your letters to reveal 18 symbols. Next, scratch off the letters in GRID 1 and/or GRID 2 that match the letters you’ve revealed. If you uncover 3 or more words, you’ll win a prize based on the prize table. Words within words (such as TO, TON, or ONE within STONE) are not counted as complete words.
Payout of scratch card winnings
You must claim the prize within 180 days of the game closing.
- Prizes up to and including Β£500 – you can claim these amount of prizes from most retailers, but some of them can only pay Β£50 cash.
- Β£500+ up to and including Β£50,000 – go to the official website national-lottery.co.uk/prize. After that, you have to fill in the online form to be able to get the prize. Theyβll tell you when to post your ticket or scratchcard on their website. If you canβt claim your prize in the ways written above and youβre a UK or Isle of Man citizen, post your ticket or scratchcard to PO Box 287, Watford WD18 9TT.
