Sold It Bonus Buy is a slot machine from Evoplay. This is an auction-themed slot, using vintage objects and ancient coins or statues on its reels, and telling a type of story that I havenβt seen before. You will find that itβs a slot with five reels (5×3 reels, to be more specific) and that there are 10 paylines present inside.
Every slot machine must be developed by a company that invented, designed and put it into operation. Many players eventually find that they only enjoy playing on machines from specific software provider, so they narrow down their selection by preferred brand.
A high volatility slot. Wins are rare, but can be really big. The game has more pronounced fluctuations and can often go without hitting anything for a long time, suitable for players who like adrenaline, higher risk and work with a larger budget. More about volatility here.
Slot theme and symbols
The idea behind Sold It Bonus Buy is an interesting one, and I donβt remember ever seeing another online slot with the same idea. The graphics are fine, not amazing by any measure, but they do their job, and they donβt rely on unrelated symbols. You can see the auctioneer next to the reels, while in the game area, you will find various objects that are up for sale. The symbols, all 8 of them, are theme-related and feature various old objects, ranging from coins used in all parts of the world to gramophones and statues of Bastet.
Sold it Bonus Buy theme and symbols
Its volatility is described as a Low High, which I take to mean that itβs a high volatility release, but on the lower side. You do get some risky rounds in there, but you have a 96.16% RTP, so the odds are fine overall. The wins of up to 3,536x the stake are not likely to impress anyone, though. There are some interesting features, which we will discuss below, but nothing that you wouldnβt expect. Trying out the demo of this slot machine wouldnβt reveal any unique mechanics, just more of the usual wilds, multipliers, and free spins found in its competitors in some form.

Scatter Symbol
Scatter symbol
One of the notable symbols in Sold It Bonus Buy will be the scatter symbol. It has the Scatter logo, so you can easily spot it, and it can land only on reel 3. During free spins, this symbol is used to boost the multiplier wilds by 1x.
WILD symbols
There are four different Bidder symbols that will appear, and which act as wilds. These bidders appear on reels 1, 2, 4, and 5. Each one has a multiplier that it will apply to the wins it participates in. If the same line has several Bidder Wilds, then the multipliers are added up before theyβre used.
Wild Multiplier
You will notice that the auctioneerβs desk has a multiplier meter of its own. It starts from 1x, and it will show what the highest multiplier wild is at the time on the reels. With each new Wild Bidder that lands, their multiplier will go up by 1x.
Antique Free Spins
Triggering the Antique Free Spins is possible if you get a scatter symbol on reel 3, while there is at least one Wild Bidder present at the same time. You will receive 8 free spins then. The triggering Wild Bidders become sticky and get the multiplier from the triggering round. The new Wild Bidders that appear in this feature will take that value and add 1x to it, after which they will become sticky. If new scatters appear on the 3rd reel, then the multipliers are improved by 1x for all wild symbols.
Bonus Buy
There are four different options that you can activate in exchange for a price. The options give you 8 free spins in each case, but the number of sticky wilds will be different. You pay 33x for a sticky wild on reel 1, 75x for sticky wilds on reels 2 and 4, 128x for sticky wilds on reels 2, 4, and 5, or 300x for all four sticky wilds present.

Our rating of the game
Sold It Bonus Buy
What I like about Sold It Bonus Buy is that it tries to offer a unique experience. Whether itβs the theme it uses, the Wild Bidders with their multipliers, or the free spins where the bigger wins become even more likely, theyβve clearly made an effort to design something unique. I just wish they managed to deliver a proper top jackpot for a more volatile game, as we see here. A 3,536x jackpot doesnβt look great when volatility is on the higher side, even with the RTP at 96.16%. Itβs a fair game, though, and definitely worth checking out if youβre bored with all the cookie-cutter competitors that lack imagination.

How do we rate slot machines?
We evaluate slot machines based on multiple criteria, from which we make our final verdict.
A unique theme, inspired by an auction of valuable artifacts, which I havenβt seen elsewhere.
The Wild Bidders have their substitution ability and the multipliers they can apply to wins.
The auctioneerβs total multiplier can improve the values for the Wild Bidder multipliers.
A free spins feature with sticky wilds and increasing multipliers, which are boosted under the right conditions.
A 96.16% RTP sounds good, and it tells us that long-term, this is a fair game.
You get a Bonus Buy option, where you can pick how many sticky wilds are available.
Cons
The graphics are not that impressive, below average, actually, if weβre being honest.
Volatility is on the high side, so there is risk there, even though itβs not too extreme.
A top jackpot of 3,536x the roundβs stake is not likely to motivate too many veterans to check it out.
